Let’s talk about Our Amazing peoples
I’m the Director and Registered Manager of Maya Supported Living Limited. I started this company to give back to my community by supporting people with learning disabilities and mental health needs to live more independently, with choice and dignity. My journey began as a support worker, and over the years I worked my way up through every role—senior support worker, assistant manager, crisis manager, and registered manager. This has helped me gain real experience and grow step by step, and I’m still learning every day.
What makes Maya different from big care companies is our personal approach. In large organisations, there’s often a big gap between management, staff, and families. At Maya, I stay closely involved so staff can reach out to me anytime, and families can always talk to me directly if they have concerns or questions. I’m proud of my team—they’re reliable, hardworking, and well-trained. We offer more than 65 training courses and have a strong hiring process. Most of our senior staff were promoted from within because we believe in helping our team grow. For families, we make sure they feel confident and informed by keeping communication open and sending regular updates about their loved ones. At Maya, we want to build a family—where clients are happy, families are reassured, and staff feel safe and supported.
With over 20 years’ experience supporting vulnerable adults in various care settings, I’m passionate about delivering person-centred support. I hold an NVQ 4 in Leadership & Management, a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Leadership, and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology.
It’s an honour to contribute to Maya Supported Living, where service users are always the priority. I believe in leading with compassion, working as a team, and creating a positive environment where both residents and staff can thrive.
I am delighted to join Maya in 2018, with MBA degree and the background in Human Resources for 5Years. As an HR Director, I manage selection & recruitment, reward & recognition, training & development, payroll & pensions, developing policies & procedure as well as involve in employee relations, engagement and performance. Thus, today I can proudly say that, we have created very enthusiastic and motivated team ‘Team Maya’.
Along with career in Maya, I completed my PhD in Health and Social Sciences. With almost 10 years of experience and PhD in Health sector, I have involved more in care; in operational level. The best thing I can give it back to my society is the skill, knowledge and experience I have, and this is what I am doing through Maya.
I’ve been with Maya Supported Living since 2019, initially as a support worker and now as a house manager. It’s been an incredible journey of growth and support.
Why 5 star review? To express my gratitude and highlight the exceptional support, extensive training, and fantastic career development opportunities offered here.
